More than 47,000 images, videos of child porn found on Allen man’s computer, police say
PLANO, TX – An Allen man was arrested Tuesday on three counts of child pornography, two with the intent to promote, according to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said Shanlin Jin, 22, had more than 47,000 images and videos on his computer, Star Local Media first reported. Because of the large number of files, police stopped the forensic investigation after confirming 1,338 images and videos as child pornography.

The investigation, which also involved Plano police, began Dec. 13 when a sheriff’s office investigator examined an IP address associated with a torrent network that contained 445 files and 7,053 pieces, according to the report.
When investigators found a video of an adult male sexually assaulting a female infant, they subpoenaed the internet service provider, which connected the IP address with Jin, police said in the report.
Jin reportedly told authorities that he used the software to download movies and pornography and admitted to seeing child pornography of children, estimated to be between the ages of 14 and 16, in the downloads.
Jin’s bail is set at $45,000.
