City of Plano Offers Free Showers for Residents without Water
PLANO, TX – If you are a Plano resident without water in your home, the City of Plano is offering free showers at three of its recreation centers. Starting Sunday, Carpenter Park Recreation Center, Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center and Plano Aquatic Center will have showers available for use.
Normally, nonmembers are charged a daily fee to use recreation center amenities. As part of the City’s response to the emergency caused by last week’s winter storm, any resident who wants to shower can use the locker rooms and showers free of charge.
Follow these guidelines:
- Plano residents only
- Face masks required
- Check in at the front desk and show your license to verify residency
- Staff will take down your name, address and phone number and time of check-in
- Stop by the front desk to check out when you are done using the facility
