As Temps Rise, A Little Bit of Good News For Plano Residents Who Are Still Without Water

PLANO, TX – The City of Plano announced they will allow Plano residents who don’t have water due to burst pipes to take showers at several of their recreation centers.

Beginning Sunday February 21st, residents can go to the Carpenter Park or Tom Muehlenbeck Centers as well as the Plano Aquatic Center to use the showers. Each of those facilities are all scheduled to reopen on Sunday.

Non-members are usually charged a daily fee to use the rec center amenities. However, the city said in this time of need, any resident who wants to shower can come in and use the locker rooms & showers free of charge.

Monday-Friday 5am to 8pm
Saturday 8am to 5pm
Sunday 10am to 5pm

Plano Aquatic Center
Monday-Friday 11am to 3pm
Saturday
Sunday 1pm to 6pm

Guidelines:

Plano residents only
Face masks required
Check in at the front desk and show your license to verify residency
Staff will take down your name, address and phone number and time of check in
Stop by the front desk to check out when you are done using the facility
Bring personal toiletries (towels, wash cloths, shampoo, etc.)

Plano Public Library locations will reopen to the public Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
