PLANO, TX – Two years after opening their first location of Rise Nation, at Knox Heights in Dallas, Tiffany and Mark Stevenson are debuting a second. The climbing cardio studio is opening a new location at 7300 Lone Star Dr., suite C-103, in The Shops at Legacy on October 5.

Rise Nation has built a cult following around its 30-minute low-impact workout, which purports to burn more calories per minute than any other cardio program (600-800, it claims). Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is such a fan, he’s now a partner in the studio.

“We’ve had our eyes on Plano since opening in 2018, and when we found The Shops at Legacy, nothing really compared to it,” says Mark Stevenson in a release. “The fact that the studio is located right off the Tollway and is easily accessible to people who eat, play, and live in Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and beyond was especially attractive to us because our clientele is busy and looking for an efficient way to work out with maximized results.”

The Versa Climber machine used at Rise Nation incorporates the natural cross-crawl-climb motion that is innate to the human body, reinforcing proper movement patterns to utilize every major muscle group.

Rise Nation was founded in 2015 by master trainer Jason Walsh, who opened it after years of privately training clients at his own high-end studio called Rise Movement. Famous for being the go-to trainer for bulking up action stars for blockbuster roles, Walsh is known for basing his fitness philosophies on his deep understanding of kinetics and the human body.

Prior to Rise Nation’s Plano opening, pre-sale packages are available. They range from a five-class package for $55 (usually $110) to the unlimited monthly membership at $129 (usually $169 a month).

Both the Dallas and Plano studios are currently operating at less than 50 percent capacity to allow for social distancing, with every machine positioned a minimum of six feet apart and every other climber kept empty. Masks are required in all common areas, including the lobby, bathrooms, hallways, and reception, and are optional during class.

The studio has also implemented a touch-less check-in process so the only touchpoint throughout each visit is the climber. Before and after classes all surfaces, handles and touch points are cleaned with EPA-registered disinfectant.
