Marcus beats Plano East 66-21, Panthers finish season 0-9.

PLANO, TX – Marcus scored 28 points in the first quarter and never looked back in a 66-21 win over Plano East.

Marcus had only run two offensive plays when they went up 21-7, thanks to an 89-yard interception return for a touchdown and a muffed punt by the Panthers. After two more rushing touchdowns for Marcus, Plano East trailed 42-14 going into the half, but their star quarterback Garrett Nussmeier left the game late in the second quarter with a leg injury.

The Marauders scored two opening half touchdowns thanks to a pick-six and excellent field position to go up 56-14.Plano East continued to battle, as Ismail Mahdi ran in a 36-yard touchdown reception to bring the score to 56-21, but the undefeated Marauders proved too much as they increased their distance with another touchdown in the fourth.

The Panthers finished the 2020 season 0-9, last in district 6-6A.
