Man was shot and killed Monday after another man approached him and demanded money

Dallas, TEXAS – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 3 a.m. early Monday morning.

Police say it happened in the 3000 block of North Hall Street.

Dallas Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.

When the officers arrived on scene, they found the 30-year-old victim lying on the sidewalk outside an apartment building.

Police say he was suffering from a gunshot wound.

His name is Justin Wayne Thompson and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
