A 41-year-old man is in custody, accused of leading officers on a high-speed chase spanning multiple cities

Plano, TX – According to the police officials, the chase started around 3:40 p.m. in Garland near the intersection of North Jupiter Road and West Walnut Street.

The officials have reported that the chase continued into Rowlett, Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Allen and into McKinney.

The 41-year-old man was wanted by the Drug Enforcement Administration. 

His name is Rodolfo Gutierrez-Tapia and he led police westbound along the President George Bush Turnpike and then headed north on U.S. 75 into Plano and McKinney.

He finally pulled over in McKinney and got out of the truck with his hands up. 

He faces a charge of evading arrest in a vehicle.
