AFD expects to give 50,000th first dose of COVID-19 vaccine next week

PLANO, TX – Appointments for two of Allen Fire Department’s final vaccination events will be offered via email on April 5 to subscribers of AFD’s email notifications.
Vaccine events are tentatively planned for April 7-8. These will be some of the final first doses administered as AFD prepares to wind down COVID-19 vaccine hub operations in May.
Allen Fire Department announced on March 26 that it would end COVID-19 vaccine hub operations in May after vaccinating approximately 50,000 people and administering 100,000 total shots. Anyone who received a first shot through AFD will be offered a second dose before the hub closes.
