Researchers are seeking 30,000 people to participate in the trials for the Novavax vaccine. Two-thirds of participants will receive the vaccine and the other third will get a placebo, according to a report from KXAS-TV (NBC5).

Dr. Jeffrey Adelglass, president of research at Your Health, is participating in the trials.

“It’s about risk and social responsibility. The longer one waits to get a vaccine, is the more chance they’re going to be infected or infect somebody in their family. So, there is a rush. Every day counts,” Dr. Adelglass told NBC5.

The study is aimed at people who have underlying conditions or are at risk. First responders and those who work in crowded conditions are also being recruited.

Anyone who would like to volunteer may call 214-550-0354 or visit researchyourhealth.com.

Novavax is the fifth COVID-19 vaccine to reach Phase 3 trials. Vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna already are being distributed for use.
