Girl, 12, shot, injured near I-35 and West Mockingbird

DALLAS – According to the Dallas Police Department, the 12-year-old victim was shot and wounded outside a Stemmons Freeway hotel.
The responding officers found the victim at the InTown Suites on Friday.
The girl suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The child was taken to a hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition, police said.
The girl’s mother told police she’d gotten into an argument with another woman when she and her daughter turned to enter the hotel.
