Dallas has closed its parks and playgrounds, and Plano could follow suit. Before you go, check the city’s coronavirus news page.

Plano also has dozens of parks and recreation projects underway or under consideration, according to the city. Here are some of them.

Current projects

Bob Woodruff Southeast Trail: Parts of the trail will be relocated and replaced to control erosion.

Emergency Trail Marker System: Emergency trail markers are being deployed on the Chisholm Trail to improve trail safety and emergency access as part of a pilot program that will expand to other Plano trails. The city says emergency response teams will be able to determine where to respond and how to best access locations.
