Investigators are seeking the identity of the suspect involved in the homicide on Elm Street

Dallas, TX – According to the Dallas Police Department, the shooting occurred around 3:09 a.m. early Sunday morning.

It happened in the 2600 block of Elm Street.

Dallas Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.

Officers arrived to find one individual laying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest and another man lying nearby with a gunshot wound to the leg.

According to reports, one of the victims, Ricky Burns, 26, died at the scene.

The second unnamed victim was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The unnamed suspect left the area after the gunshot.
