Man fatally shot in north Oak Cliff, Dallas police say

Matthew Cantu was booked into the Dallas County jail on a charge of murder, police said. His bail had not been set, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Officers were called about 10 p.m. Monday to the 300 block of North Lancaster Avenue, near East Eighth Street, where they found 45-year-old Joseph Morris wounded. He died at the hospital.

Police have not released any more information.
