Man in custody in connection with 2011 Plano sexual assault case, police say

PLANO, TX – Jeffery Lemor Wheat, 48, was apprehended with the help of the Arkansas State Police, the Plano department said. He was booked into the Collin County jail Friday on one count of sexual assault.
His bail was set at $500,000, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
Police did not give any additional details about the case or how detectives linked Wheat to it.
