Man killed in Denton shooting, police say

DENTON, TX – A man was killed in a Denton shooting Thursday afternoon, police said.
Officers were called about 2:45 p.m. to the 2400 block of East McKinney Street, near Audra Lane, where a shooting had been reported.
Police found a man who had been shot, and he was taken to a hospital. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified him as 24-year-old Jordan Pointer.
Police are continuing to investigate but said that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public. No arrests have been announced.
