Plano Company Takes Part in Moderna COVID Vaccine Trial for Kids; Plano Teen Eagerly Participated

PLANO TX – The trial included several thousand 12-17-year olds around the country.
Heema Marwah owner and research director of ACRC Trials (pictured right) was responsible for 200 patients; amid a wait list of 1000 people. She told our media partner WFAA-TV that the response to the trial solicitation was “overwhelming.”
Among the teen-aged participants in Plano was 16-year old Maddie Whynot. She told the TV station that she was thrilled to take part in the study, to do her part.
A actual vaccine and a placebo was randomly given to participants. Whynot says that she got 2 shots and that she’s not sure which ones she got but that she experienced mild symptom.
ACRC Trials will also take part in Moderna’s pediatric trial for 6 mos to 11-year old that was announced last week.
