PLANO, TX – Last Friday, Plano PD officers responded to a report of domestic violence and aggravated sexual assault in the 8100 block of Haning Drive.

The residence appears to be the suspect’s home, according to court documents.

The victim told officers the suspect was still inside the Haning residence, armed with the handgun he allegedly used in the assault.

Officer David Tilley, Plano Police Department’s public information officer, said that officers spent around eight hours responding to the call and negotiating with the suspect.

Tilley said that prior to the victim’s call regarding the domestic violence and aggravated sexual assault, there were already active warrants for Dessouky’s arrest for possession of a controlled substance and for violating a protective order twice over the course of 12 months.

Plano PD wrote in a press release that the victim knows the suspect.

Plano PD officers identified the suspect as Mahmoud Dessouky, a 43-year-old resident of Plano. Dessouky has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, which is classified as a first degree felony.

Dessouky is being held at the Collin County Detention Center in McKinney with multiple charges: aggravated sexual assault, possession of a controlled substance and violation of a protective order. The collective amount of his bond is set at $127,500 for all these charges.

According to a Plano PD press release, the investigation remains ongoing by the Plano Police Family Violence Unit.
