Texas man arrested and arraigned in Monroe County murder

PLANO, TX— A 28-year-old from Plano, Texas is facing one count each of open murder and felony firearms charges, after shooting a 35-year-old woman in the face on Wednesday night.
Police say Austin Lucas shot and killed Joy Dawn Boswell around 10:20 PM, after getting into a domestic dispute at the Camp Lord Willing RV Park and Campground.
Officers found Lucas walking on the side of Steiner Road, and say he was covered in blood.
A judge denied Lucas bond, and he’s currently at the Monroe County Jail.
