Traffic accident in Plano takes one life, two are injured

PLANO, TX- On Sunday around 3 p.m. The Plano Police officers responded to the intersection of Custer Road and Legacy Drive, where multiple vehicles collided. One person died and two are injured.
Reportedly, a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta GLI was speeding on southbound on Custer. The 2011 Ford Fusion was travelling on northbound, attempting to turn left onto Legacy Drive with turned on signal. The Volkswagen driver struck the Ford Fusion on the passenger side, which caused the Ford to spin and hit a 2020 grey Nissan Rogue that stopped at the intersection.
The Ford passenger didn’t survive, while the drivers of the Ford and Volkswagen were transferred to a nearby hospital. The third driver was not injured in this incident.
Plano Police Traffic Unit is still investigating the accident.
