5-year-old boy shot his mother in the chest with a handgun, the mother of four died

According to the police officials, the 38-year-old mother has died after her 5-year-old son accidentally shot her in the chest. This unfortunate incident occurred in the early morning hours of Friday. The responding officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound in her chest. She was taken by helicopter to a hospital where she later died.

Her name is Michelle Cox and police said that her 5-year-old boy pulled the trigger of the handgun that killed her. Investigators say the incident was unintentional.

The victim’s four children, who are under 13, and her 40-year-old boyfriend were also at home during the incident but were not injured. Authorities in Arizona are conducting further investigations.
