Dallas police identify suspect in fatal shooting, to be considered armed and dangerous
DALLAS, TX— Today, the Dallas Police Department identified Demontray Lavell Tavone Handy as the alleged man who shot and killed 20-year-old Rquon Deshon Travis last week at a north Dallas apartment.
Handy, according to police, should be considered armed and dangerous. They are now asking anyone with information on Handy’s whereabouts or the investigation to contact police.
At approximately 10:35 a.m., on Sunday, April 11, 2021, the Dallas Police Department was dispatched to 12920 Audelia Road in reference to a shooting in an apartment complex parking lot. There, police discovered Travis on the floor of his apartment unit suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
“The suspect has been identified as Demontray Lavell Tavone Handy,” read a statement from the Dallas Police Department today. “Handy should be considered armed and dangerous.”
