Garland to resume COVID-19 vaccinations Wednesday with a drive-through event

PLANO, TX – Garland is resuming COVID-19 vaccinations on Wednesday with an event for those who missed their second dose during last week’s winter storm. The city will be administering the Moderna vaccine.
The city will host the mass vaccination event at Johnson Stadium, located at 1209 E Centerville Rd. The drive-through will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 4 p.m.
The city’s health department will only be administering vaccines to people who received the first dose with the city. People do not need to re-register for the second dose, as the city will contact people directly with appointment information.
“We are experiencing delays in administering second doses due to last week’s winter storm,” the city wrote in an announcement.
