Ice storm downed 250 trees, Plano City crews working hard to clear them up
PLANO, TX- Plano City crews are working hard to keep the city up and running.
Last week’s ice storm downed over 250 trees and limbs around town that the crews began cleaning up on Friday and preparing the roads with salt and sand for the special equipment.
The Public Works and Parks-and-Rec workers are doing much more than we think, as they are the first responders after the storms. Clearing up the fallen trees, salting and sanding the roads is all part of their work to keep the city safe and passable.
Other nearby cities crews are also battling the storm. Reportedly, Fort Worth used more than 2.5 million pounds of sand/salt mix on 1,200 locations.
