Rowlett woman identified as the one who was killed in a Plano crash

PLANO, TX – Plano police have now identified the woman killed in a high-speed crash yesterday.
Rowlett resident Heather Hawkins had to be pried from the wreckage of her car and died at the hospital.
Police learned from witnesses that Hawkins’ car was going very fast and swerving back and forth on the Dallas North Tollway.
Still speeding, she took the Parker Road exit and crashed into a tree on the service road. Investigators suspect she’d been drinking but they’re waiting for toxicology test results to come back.
