A couple were doused with gasoline and set on fire earlier this month. Now, police are searching for a teen girl in connection with the murder which is believed to be a targeted attack. Victims, a 33-year-old man and 26-year-old woman had to be airlifted to a hospital in the area after they somehow escaped their burning home on August 6. According to a GoFundMe page, the man later succumbed to his injuries leaving behind his three children and wife, who currently remains in critical condition in the hospital.

Over 70% of Karissa Lindros’ body is covered in burns leading to her heartbreaking condition. She has undergone several operations and would require future procedures to heal. Lindros continues fighting for her life every day, revealed the page. Shortly before Graham died, he allegedly told the cops that a female had entered his home, poured an unknown substance on him before setting him on fire. Witnesses in the area reported seeing a white, four-door sedan, fleeing the scene. They also revealed that the suspect was a white female, who looked under the age of 30, per the police statement.

Upon investigating the case further, authorities were able to gather enough information that led them to believe that Emma Presler was responsible for the vicious attack. Thus on Monday, police announced murder charges against Presler in light of Devin Graham’s painful death. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time, the teenager has been charged with murder. She was arrested in September 2020 after officers found her in a vehicle that had been linked to the drive-by murder of a 20-year-old woman with cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy.

Sierra Rhodd was sleeping inside her home when dozens of bullets were shot into her family home on Timber Crest and Jones. While Rhodd’s parents and brother weren’t hit, a bullet penetrated through the girl’s bedroom window and fatally injured her. At the time prosecutors confirmed that Presler was inside the truck where the shooters were but could not provide any immediate evidence that proved that she was the one who fired a weapon or that she was seen running away from the home when the shooting happened.

The murder charges were dropped as the judge explained, “Just because I drive a red truck doesn’t mean I’m involved in a murder. There’s a lot of things that indicate she may be involved, but until you have something that goes beyond reasonable suspicion, you don’t have probable cause.” At that time, the victim’s mother Sierra was furious by the development of the case. “I don’t know what else evidence they need. She was there. She was in the car. I’m sick to my stomach about the whole thing.” While she was released from custody back then, she is currently wanted for the August 6 incident.

“Oh God, please, if you know where she is, if you know anything about where she’s staying, please, please come forward,” urged Lisa Sherlock, Lindros’ aunt. “Karissa and Devin did not deserve this.” Anyone with information regarding the teen is urged to call the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
